FM meltdown… again.
Since I’ve already commented once on the child-porn stories at FM I thought I’d add another thought to the thread.
Another blow up — they seem to be increasing in frequency as of late — at FM over child rape (and the child like it, mind you) stories. There are those screaming FIRST AMENDMENT!!! (Even though the servers are supposed to be in Canada, no verification there so don’t take my word for it, and Canada, last time I looked wasn’t part of the US. Is it? AND written CP is against the law there. Imagine that!
Anyway long story short. Those of you that defend the decision to post this crap, ask yourself this question:
Would I like my parents, or children to know that I support stories that glorify the rape of small children? Imagine trying to explain that one to little eight year old Timmy after he was raped by his uncle. “Oh it’s okay Timmy. It’s our first amendment right to support this.” I’m sure that will make him feel a whole lot better.
The same could be said about TG fiction. While there would be an amount of embarrassment from being outted to whomever, I’d certainly pick dressing up in skirts to this CP sickness.

I’m a big free speech advocate. It was originally put in place so that Government could not come down on a free press that puts them in their place or questions their role in leadership. In the old days, over in England, if you said disparaging things or questioned the ruling party, king, or what have you, you would be put in jail or worse. There was no such thing as free contrary political commentary.
This isn’t a free speech issue. It’s a preference issue. Whether they like it or not, posting this sort of crap on their site is akin to promoting the material within the story itself.

The authors are either using free speech to get a rise out of people (which is bad), or they condone child rape (which is SICK). Either way, FM should get a loose policing rule going down there, lest they be thrown in with the guilty party.

Yep, the child likes it. The sad part about all of this? It’s now on Crystal’s site. The author is Noah somebody. Another sad thing? At the last posting at Crystal’s another child-abuse-porn story was released, but nobody is tearing that one to shreds either. Incest with his mother, caned 75 times to the point of bleeding, and forced into prostitution, and the kid likes it.
Being caned 5-10 times can raise permanent wounds and possibly cripple someone and this kid gets it 75 times. Yeah, whatever. Crystals is turning into “The Other FM.”

I despise all those Kiddie Porn and Abuse stories, I’m not much of a fan of adult rape and abuse (or fem-dom, as I believe it’s called)to me it is prurient, sleazy and sickening – makes me unwell. FM has no policy – at least 90% of what is posted there is utter garbage – and it is getting worse – there may be about 300 good stories there but there are probably about 30 000 stories, badly written, or else cover material that is illegal, immoral or disgusting – or all of the above – oh and most of those so called stories are badly written as well – just to really add insult to injury.

When I first found FM before the turn of the millennium, I thought I had found gold. I was amazed at all of the people out there that were like me. Not just a little tiny subset of society, but thousands of people, each with their story to tell.
Then Mindy shut it down and it’s never been the same since. I saw the Task Force as a good thing at first. Their reasoning was sound, but eventually flawed.
Now it’s turned into just another nasty porn site that exploits TG people for the sole purpose of “getting them off”. There are so very few actual stories there that have anything that would be considered a plot, that it’s just not worth visiting anymore.
When it came back online after the recent problems, I saw a number of decent stories, so I started visiting again. Now it all has to do with kids being raped, diapered and used for scat fantasies, and torture. Uh, no thanks. So I went back to Crystal’s. To my disappointment, those very same stories are popping up over there.
It’s to the point where I don’t want to tell anyone that I’m TG anymore. If they want to Google it and find out more, all they get is this subset of seriously fucked up people, and porn. This is not what being TG is about.

I concur, and it is a very worrying trend, people with GID are being treated like deviants and sexual fetishists when in fact it is something far more profound – for a very long time I thought I was a tiny minority of people that found stories of men turning into women exciting and interesting – when I discovered that I wasn’t alone I was happy but I would prefer not to be associated with beasts that exploit children and revel in acts that are illegal, immoral and icky. There are good writers, people who take it seriously and try and give us a proper story that explores the process of joining the other side of the gender divide as well as a proper plot – people like The Professor or Chris Leeson or yourself – and Thank God for you all.
I try not to judge people for having a weird fetish – I mean that would be hypocritical, but some things are just wrong and don’t need to be linked to the TG scene at all.

New word in, the server is located in Germany. And I’m pretty sure the first amendment doesn’t apply there either. Anyone know? Did Germany adopt our constitution?
After an exhaustive ten second search on Google I found the pertinent law. Here are the passages germane to the subject.
Article 184 b of the German Penal Code (StGB – “Strafgesetzbuch”) penalizes acts concerning child pornography. Child is defined as a person younger than 14 years of age.
Sound and text can also be considered pornography.

I was waiting for an official word from the “Rarely heard from Task Force” in regards to if they plan on doing anything. They’re not. So I’m taking them off my bookmarks and not visiting anymore. I feel like visiting their Wikipedia article and amending a few things as well, just so everyone’s clear on the subject before visiting. But, then I’d have to register and that’s just annoying. I’m too lazy and dinner-bloated at the moment.

The only thign I was considering was posting their “Warning” to include ‘Children’ along with ‘Adults’, and Piercings, and BD/SM. They weasel their way around it by the general statement at the end. But judging by what’s happening there now, I’d wait and see if things change. I highly doubt it, but still.
The sad thing is that they come out and specifically say ‘piercings’… like it’s a horrific thing in comparison to childporn.
I’m sure it would be taken down thorough. The write up on the site makes it sound like the second coming or something. The last bastion of free speech on teh interwebz.

Yeah, I saw that when I checked it out the other day. Someone on the board said it took them a really long time (an hour of googleing) before they could find any information about the pedo laws there. It took me all of 10 seconds.
